Terms and conditions for international services

  • Min fee of the issued quote is payable in Advance
  • Fees quoted are based on NON URGENT (ROUTINE SERVICE) and that ample time (2 weeks or more is available for service from the date we receive the document.) Please note additional time is required to get documents to and from the destination. Please allow a turn around time of approx. 3 – 4 weeks.

Fees normally includes 2 attempts at service, and additional attempts are charged at a per attempt basis as per quote.

Once service has been completed on the respondent, all remaining attempts are null and void. If for any reason additional documents are required after the original service, a new full service fee will be applicable. Accordingly please ensure all documentation is correct prior to service.

An option is available for ‘Urgent’ Service. This service is available in most countries but not all. Additional costs are applicable.

Documents and legality of the documents is strictly the responsibility of the issuer i.e.: Solicitor, Plaintiff and/or its Collection Agent. We accept no responsibility.
STRICTLY NO REFUND, once the file is issued from our office, and leaves Australia, fees can not be refunded. Partial refunds may be available for items such as unused couriers or unused Notary fees.
Our agent will NOT under any circumstance knowingly break the law.
Our agent will NOT under any circumstance in danger him/herself to serve a document.

  • If the document can not be served due to a threat of violence, or the area is to dangerous to travel in, the agent will attempt to seek instructions from our office for alternative service. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure all information is provided to our office, this includes but not limited to any previous acts or threats of violence, threats to the Applicant/Plaintiff, AVO’s etc.
  • Our agent will make every effort to serve the required documentation, however we are unable to make any guarantee.
  • Please ensure the address provided for service is 100% correct. If the address is not accurate, any change of address regardless of how little, will incur an additional service fee. Accordingly please ensure it is correct.
  • Affidavits of attempt will be provided as required.
  • Should charges exceed the quoted amount, additional fees are payable prior to our agent taking the recommended / necessary action. You will be advised in writing/email prior to additional fees being charged.
  • You will have the opportunity to approve the action or request the file to be closed, and therefore not incur any additional fees.
  • We hold the right to decline, refuse or cease service of documents for any reason. These reasons may be but are not limited to:
  • Request from the plaintiff/respondent or imply that we should breach laws or regulations of Australia or the country of service.
  • Should our firm cease action, we may issue a partial refund depending on costs incurred.
  • Couriers are strongly recommended for all international services.

Should you choose not to use couriers, our office nor our agent are able to provide any security or guarantee that your documents/affidavit will be delivered. We accept no responsibility for any delayed or lost documentation to and from its destination. We strongly recommend the use of couriers at all times.

Additional costs will be due and payable by you in advance if a replacement affidavit is needed (unless couriers are used). These costs may include postage, affidavit replacement and notary/witness fees. Normally International postage is anywhere from 7 to 21 days.
